Elsie Biron, Owner
Elsie's love for being around and planning activities for children began in youth, probably prompted by being the second oldest of 10. She brings to Sea Star her enthusiasm for children as well as a wealth of experience gained by being a classroom pre-school and elementary teacher, the Director of Teacher Personnel for the Diocese of Galveston-Houston, the Assistant Director of Public Relations for the Houston Sports Association, the Assistant Director of Publicity of the original Houston Texans, the Dean of Admissions for the University of St. Thomas (UST) and now as Advisor to the President, UST.
Elizabeth Parsons, Facility Director
Elizabeth comes to Sea Star with a long and successful history of working in the kid-business, having worked at our mother company, Biron Gymnastics, for over 15 years. Not only does Elizabeth bring to the parents of Sea Star her great positive personality and tremendous love for children, she also has over 10 years of gymnastics coaching, six as a camp counselor, and four as the Biron Camp Site Director - a camp with a summer enrollment of over 1,200 children. All of this is complimented with her creative talents, boundless enthusiasm and great organizational skills, developed in her 10 years as a secretary at Biron's.
Kelly is a staple at Sea Star. She began as an instructor and quickly grew to a management position among the instructors. She left Sea Star for a while to pursue endeavors with Sienna Plantation Aquatics (SPA), but has found time to come back to Sea Star to help out in the front desk, substitute in the water and/or the gym, and fill many positions within our facility. Her responsible nature and knowledge of swimming makes her an invaluable asset to our community.
Christina Bunsey - Account Administrator
Christina has worked in some capacity for Sea Star since 2005. She has been a swim instructor, worked Summer Camp and Camp Friday, was the Birthday Party Director, and manned the front desk. You can catch Christina filling in at one of those programs at any given time. Primarily Christina spends her time handling client accounts, maintaining control of the front desk, and answering client questions.
Jemma Evans Munos - Enrollment Specialist
Jemma spent many years working with children as a nanny before she moved back to Missouri City from California. Jemma was once the Birthday Party Director and a swim instructor before becoming Sea Star's Enrollment Specialist. Her attention to detail serves her well in her position in the facility. Jemma is also Sea Star's resident actress with extensive experience in front of the camera as well as on stage.
